Small moments of witnessing, holding, and remembering create a continuous journey.

This is an original mixed-media encaustic painting, made with beeswax, encaustic medium, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: sheet music, an old map of Seattle, and other rescued scraps that I've collected along the way.

The painting is 7.5" tall x 6.5" wide x 1.25" deep (19.05 cm tall x 2.56 cm x 3 cm), on a sturdy handmade wooden panel.

It is ready to hang, with a neat wire across the back. No framing necessary! It is signed and dated by me on the back. Made in 2009.

The painting has a luminous quality, as you can see layers of collage materials beneath many coats of delicious-smelling beeswax.

A little compass, some major streets in Central Seattle, and sweet music notes can be seen clearly through the windows in the buildings.

I create, handle, wrap, and ship all my work with complete respect and care.

Please let me know if this painting is a gift. I will gift wrap it and include a personal note, for free! Just let me know at check-out.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me for any reason. I would love to hear from you!
