Description

Originally recorded during the summer of 1970 and released in 1971, this Polydor recording of 'Mary Catherine Lunsford' has recently been re-packaged as a CD.

The vinyl recording has been seen for sale on Ebay and other rare record sites for extraordinary sums.

I began my performing career in 1965 at the age of 17 in a small club called The Paradox in Tustin, CA. where muscians would gather to sign-up on a list to perform 3 songs or for 15 minutes in the Thursday night Hootenanny. This led to playing what might be referred to as a circuit of 'Hoot' nights in coffee houses such as The Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, The 5 Muses in San Clemente, Doug Weston’s Troubadour on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood and The Whole in Glendale + others.

Known as the 'California Folkies' we honed our skills during a rich and inspired decade of music. I had the privilege of knowing, learning from and/or performing with Jackson Brown, Mary McCaslin, Penny Nichols, Steve Noonan, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Hoyt Axton, Linda Ronstadt, Tim Buckley, Steve Gillette, Pat Paulsen, Jose Feliciano, The Sunshine Company, Steve Martin, John Denver, Brewer and Shipley, just to list a few.

I wrote and perform the eleven songs on the album. 'Mary Catherine Lunsford' was released in 1971 during the same week as Carol King's 'Tapestry' album. My claim to fame that week was a billboard on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, CA. Alas, as youth is apt to be rather an egotistic time in ones life, I thought that billboard would be only the first of many and never took a photo!

You can take a listen to MP3 versions of a few tunes from this album on http://www.myspace.com/marycatherinelunsford, but the CD is only available for purchase through my Etsy shop. FYI: 1.5 seconds of intro notes to 5 tunes are missing due to mastering error.

I bought this as a gift for a especial friend that have been in a motorcycle accident, and I'm glad I did it, cause looks like it meant a lot to my friend.

He said he keeps the glass heart close to have something to hold on his hand whenever he has a hard time to relax.

Thanks for being part of it!

HideaHeart has become a tradition in our home.
My husband is active duty Navy,I always hide one in his luggage before he deploys. Even the toughest guys enjoy the reminder that they are loved.
I've sent them with all 3 of our kids as they traveled away to University.
A great gift to give a Military spouse or anyone that travels for work.
I scattered them around our home for Valentines day as well.
The owner is wonderful to do business with, she's currently working on some special ones for my father in laws memorial.

    Don't pass these up.

Returns & exchanges

Because the glass heart is compact with smooth edges, it is very durable. I expect the ink on the heart to last for years through normal wear.

I make every effort to send you a glass heart without chips or scratches. Please note that scuff marks and seams are an occasional but natural part of the glass making process.

Please contact me immediately if you have any problem with your purchase within 3 days of receiving it so I can work with you to mutually resolve any issue.

I take special care to make sure all words will be spelled correctly when receiving a request for 'personalization' on the heart. If I have any concerns about spelling, I will contact you to verify any questions BEFORE I proceed.

If you purchase a CD and it arrives damaged, please return the damaged product within 3 days and I will replace it at my expense.

Please attach a DELIVERY CONFIRMATION RECEIPT to facilitate the return of the package.

Shipping policies

I ship orders 6 days a week within 24-48 hrs of receiving your order.

Because the little glass HIDE A HEART is wrapped in tissue and sent in a mailer it is lightweight, so I am able to offer free shipping for US customers on an individual heart order.

A Hide A Heart order is sent to US Customers by first class mail courtesy of USPS usually arriving in 3-5 business days.

CD's are sent to US Customers in a CD box by USPS First Class Mail. I use recycled materials or tissue as filler in all mailing boxes.

I send every customer a confirmation email when I mail your purchase. For US Customers the email will also include a CONFIRMATION DELIVERY RECEIPT number so you can track the progress of the order. Please NOTE: Sometimes the USPS.com tracking site does not provide tracking information in a 'real time' manner, so please be diligent in checking back with USPS.com often. I also track your order and will send you a follow up email acknowledging that I see the order arrived as expected.

Please contact me if you have any questions about your order and I will respond within 24 hours.

International Buyers:
Please note that orders shipped to Canada can take from ten-twenty-one (10-21) days to arrive. International orders can take up to six-ten (6-10) weeks to arrive.
CD's or combined product orders are shipped in a box for International Customers.

All forms will be marked to reflect the content and cost. I'm sure you will agree this helps avoid any difficulty for us both.

NOTE: Additional duty or import fees and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

Review/Giveaways:
I am happy to participate in a limited number of review/giveaways. I want the review/giveaway to be a Win/Win/Win for the blogger, the winner and HAH, so there are a couple of things to know before contacting me, please be aware:

• I request the blogger have a Google Page Ranking of 4/10 or better but
retain the flexibility for making exceptions for bloggers without or with lower page ranking

• Contest rules must include this statement:
Giveaway Winner or Blog Host is responsible to pay a $5.00 shipping and handling of the prize. A 'Custom' listing in the Hide A Heart Etsy shop will be added in the name of the contest blog for the winner/blog host to purchase when the contest has closed at which time she/he will provide a shipping and email address of the contest winner. I suggest the blog host mentions the $5 s/h listing for the prize when writing the contest descriptions/rules
