The Lady of the Lake is the name of several related characters who play parts in the Arthurian legend. These characters' roles include giving King Arthur his sword Excalibur, enchanting Merlin, and raising Lancelot after the death of his father. Different writers and copyists give her name variously as Nimue, Viviane, Elaine, Niniane, Nivian, Nyneve, Nimueh and other variations.

No matter what name she takes in which variation of the tale, one thing stands consistent- the image of her hand raising from the waters clutching Excalibur.

This necklace holder has her grasping not a sword, but your most precious necklaces, keeping them on radiant display as well as untangled from one another.

Necklaces can be hung from either the fingers or from around the wrist, and smaller pieces of jewelry can rest in her palm.

A stained oval wood plaque has a white mannequin hand anchored to it, and though it wobbles a bit, it is quite secure and has held up to a dozen heavy gemstone necklaces. There is a toothed fastener on the back for hanging.

The oval plaque is 8.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide, with the hand extending 7.5 inches from the plaque. Because the mannequin hand was salvaged, there are some nicks in the finish.

For orders over $30 (before shipping costs) I'll include a free gift of matching earrings! For information on shipping, international orders, custom orders and other commonly asked questions, please see my Shop Policies!
