Here's a classic and versatile 1974 suit pattern from Simplicity, with a blazer, 4-gore skirt, and pants. The jacket is unlined and has patch pockets, so nothing too fussy in the sewing there. The skirt and pants both zip in back.

Personal preference might lead one to ignore the double knit on the suggested fabrics list, but otherwise, it's a great little pattern, in a generous size (two sizes, actually, and it's uncut, so you can choose):

Bust 44" or 46"
Waist 37" or 39"
Hip 46" or 48"

The pattern is in factory folds, and - this is really cool - the two different sizes are printed in different colors, so it's easier than figuring out which dashed line you're supposed to follow on a current multi-size pattern. The envelope has a slight stain on the back, and a partial split and small tear near the top left corner.

Simplicity 6803, 1970s suit with jacket, skirt, pants
