Cheers! It doesn't matter what you are drinking, this generous goblet will make any occasion feel special.

- Size: 9 inches tall x 3.25 inches diameter
- Capacity: 10 ounces (approximately 1/2 inch from top)
- NOT recommended for microwave or dishwasher use

HOW IT'S MADE:
This porcelain goblet was thrown on the potter's wheel as two pieces - the bowl and the stem. The knotwork is designed and hand carved directly into the goblet without the use of molds or templates. The outline was then filled with a black slip. A Roman numeral IV is inscribed on the bottom indicating the number of "strands" in the knot.

After the bisque firing, underglazes were painted on the knotwork to highlight the various strands in the knot. he goblet was then finished with a clear glaze and fired to approximately 2300°F (1,260°C). The high firing temperature creates a delicate yet durable piece of finished pottery.

It is signed on the bottom with my potter's mark and the year it was created.

NOTE: Photos 2 and 3 show different sides of the goblet. There is a small glaze flaw shown on the lower right hand side of the knotwork in photo 4. This will not affect the use of the goblet.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
The goblet is NOT recommended for microwave and dishwasher use. The goblet stem is hollow and there is a small hole in the bottom (hidden in my signature). If the goblet is allowed to soak, water can enter the stem and it will be difficult to dry. If there is moisture in the goblet stem and you microwave it, the steam could cause the goblet to break.
