Description

The favorite local landmarks and business of Loyal Heights, one of Seattle's most charming neighborhoods, are beautifully rendered by some talented 4th grade illustrators. This map was originally conceived and designed by Misha Zadeh as a 24" x 36" double edition Giclee print for Whittier Elementary's 2016 PTA Auction. Sales from the original auction piece raised nearly $5,000 for Whittier, and reprint sales brought in another $2,500 for the 5th grade class trip to NatureBridge.

The fundraising period has ended, but maps are still available for purchase.

This map has so many thoughtful details, you could spend hours discovering everything. In addition to the wonderfully whimsical interpretations of iconic spots like Ray's Boathouse, the Ballard Locks, Golden Gardens, Majestic Bay Theatres, Hattie's Hat, El Camion and Bardahl, see if you can spot these things: a totem pole, a skateboard, 6 Scandinavian references, 9 boats, and a couple sneaky critters.

This listing is for an 11" x 14" archival Giclée print on matte paper. Packaged in an archival cello sleeve with cardboard backing. Ships in a sturdy, flat, Kraft mailer.

FREE SHIPPING TO 98117 AND 98107 zip codes with code: GoBallard. Package will be left at your door. If you reside outside of these zip codes and use the code, you will be recharged for shipping.

This is a fabulously designed poster. Ballard is ever-changing and yet this poster captures all the classic locations; it reminds me daily why we love this neighborhood!

It was hand-delivered to our door with my name beautifully written on the mailer. So classy!
