Item details

surgical steel fishhooks, pewter heart drop, green Swarovski crystal bead

A 20x8 pewter heart with green crystal. The fishhook earrings are surgical steel. GREEN promotes growth and general healing. Green is the color of growth and expansion of both mind and spirit. It creates a peaceful feeling and can be used to relieve tension and stress. It is also the universal color of nature, green represents growth, fertility, and health. It is also youthful and fresh, and can symbolize luck. GREEN is the color of the Fourth Chakra, the Heart.
The Heart Chakra governs the arms, hands, shoulders, ribs, lungs, heart, circulatory system, blood, diaphragm, breasts, and thymus. Physical disorders associated with the fourth chakra are: heart and lung conditions, breast and lung cancers, upper back, thoracic area, respiratory conditions and shoulder problems. Emotional areas touched on are: generosity, love, kindness, compassion, confidence, hope, inspiration, anger, hate, despair, fear and envy.
Green is the color most often associated with nature, or fertility and life, as the green of Spring renews the Earth. Being from the middle of the spectrum, green is considered to be a balancing color, keeping one in tune with the Earth, and promoting an evening out of emotions and actions. Green is often seen linked with red in some religions. Through its connection to the planet Venus, green is symbolic of conception and abundant growth.

Consider the symbolism an upside-down triangle. The heart evolved from this initial symbol.
As most of us now know (particularly with the advent of movies such as the DaVinci code) the inverted triangle is an esoteric symbol of the divine feminine, or feminine power in general. We see an inverted triangle as a focal point in the center of the Muladhara, or root chakra. Here this emblem signifies the tap root of primal power, sexual power. At this one (inverted) point ignites the spark that surges heat up the rest of the chakra spine. Outlining inverted triangles are also seen in the solar plexus (Manipura), heart (Anahata), throat (Vishudha) and third eye (Ajna) chakras. Upside-down triangles also represent the element of water. Esoterically speaking, water is symbolic of: intuition, motion, emotion, psychic perception, and transition among other meanings.

Thank you Jan for the beautiful anklet. I gave it to a friend as a gift, and she loves it. I really enjoyed reading and leading more about the moonstone with the paperwork you included. The extra gifts you included (pretty gift box and earrings) were a wonderful surprise. Thank you!
