I Painted this Fawn's Face on a Flat Sea Pebble, a Great Gift Idea for all of you, Nature Lovers!

My painted stones are unique pieces of art. I paint all of them on smooth sea rocks with high quality acrylics and very small brushes. They may be used as a paper-weight to cheer up your desk, lucky charms, decoration for furniture and gardens or whatever you desire.

They are FINELY DETAILED, protected with a strong transparent varnish coat, signed on the back and accompanied by a CERTIFICATE OF AUTENTICITY.

A Brief History of my Work:

I first met the magic of painting stones in 1996.
Rock painting art made me discover and explore acrylic’s potential. Currently it’s my favourite technique even when I paint on canvas.

I love rock painting for its ability to mix the old and the new (it’s no accident that this fascinating technique was born in very ancient times!). Nowadays I dress my sea stones with very versatile new colors, which guarantee great resistance in time.

In the past few years I created thousands of creatures of all shapes and sizes. I don’t paint only animals, but they are by far my favourite subjects, because painting them literally helps me to bring inanimate mineral matter to life.

All my artworks are unique and the rocks I use are not processed at all. I always honour every hole or imperfection that Mother Nature has carried out in decades; moreover, I try to exploit it through drawing with nuances and light and shade effects.

- My painted rocks are made with high quality acrylics and protected with a strong transparent varnish coat. You can clean them with a damp cloth.

- My painted jewels are protected with a strong satin varnish coat. It's not recommended wearing them in the shower or pool. Please use caution when wearing around sharp objects as to not scratch the artwork. To clean, just wipe with a soft cloth.

- I realize custom pet portraits on rocks, canvas, paper, etc. I paint all kinds of animals: cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, parrots, butterflies, etc.

- I do the painting from photos supplied by the owner. Please message me your pictures for a custom order or send them at robertorizzo72[at]gmail.com

- The best photos to work from would have the image of the pets as large as possible in light and possibly no-blur.

- Prices may vary and depends on the size of the rocks (for a perfect likeness I suggest a portrait of at least 13 cm or largest).
