I was inspired to design this quilt by a Pendleton Indian Blanket I saw in a book. I named this quilt Indian Summer for that reason, and because the colors made me think of Indian corn.

This quilt measures 79" x96 . This size quilt would sell for $1895, but it would cost anywhere from $630 for a crib quilt to $2500 for a king size quilt.

The quilting thread is a light green, and the binding is a grass green print to accent the body of the quilt.

My quilts are quilted by Regina Carter of Jackson, GA on a long arm quilting machine, using a pantograph pattern. Regina Carter is a full time, professional, long arm quilter who has earned many awards and accolades for her quilting.

The batting is Hobbs 80/20.

This quilt is machine washable with a mild soap, on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low, or line dry.

You can order a similar quilt in any size or colorway. Please see my shop policies for information on ordering a custom quilt, or convo me with any questions you have. I am very open to working on coming up with a pattern, size, and color scheme that will suit your needs.

This quilt was made in a smoke free environment.

I had been searching for a quilt to use as a wall hanging in our great room, and when I discovered Quilt Designs by Candace on Etsy, I was delighted with her colorful and unique quilts. Choosing a design was difficult because I could visualize several of the patterns in my home. Finally, I chose the Galapagos pattern, and Candace worked with me to create a custom quilt in my colorway. Every step of the creative process was exciting, and I appreciated the way Candace included me in the selection of fabrics. Her artistry is amazing, and when I received the quilt, I was delighted! It is a masterpiece in every respect, and it was a pleasure to collaborate with Candace.
