St Hildegard of Bingen Icon, 16 X 20 inches
(1098 – 17 September 1179), also known as Saint Hildegard and Sibyl of the Rhine, was a German Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic, visionary, and polymath. She is considered to be the founder of scientific natural history in Germany

This icon is made when ordered.

Painted on wood panel with tempera and silver leaf on stucco canvas. Silver lace detail borders the icon all around. The icon is varnished with couple of layers to assure a long lasting image and to make it easy and safe to clean it from dust. The back and the sides are sealed in dark stain. Comes with a hole on the back for hanging on a wall.

The icon measures approx 16x20 inches and 1 inch thick (2cm).
