Description

I guess other people were being productive in 1950 besides my mother. (That's when I was born, you see.) Houghton Mifflin Company was busy printing this little gem by David Walker. The boards are blue cloth with dark blue print on the spine and front. The corners, edges and top and bottom of the spine are bumped and worn; while edges and the top and bottom of the spine are faded. The front board is lightly curled; the spine is somewhat discoloured. The binding is clean and tight, although lightly browned. The page edges are quite browned and lightly foxed, while the pages themselves are lightly browned. The name of a previous owner is written in pen, on the first front end paper. The author has graciously signed his name, in pen, on the half title page. There is a small brown stain on bottom edge of the back end paper but otherwise the pages are clear and unmarked. For those who look for these things, what's left of the dust jacket is torn, worn, chipped, browned, scraped and has many pieces missing. (Looks as if the years have been as kind to this book as they have been to me.) This edition is 209 pages and 8vo: over 7 3/4" - 9 3/4" tall.
