This Glass sculpture explores the interconnectedness of people. It looks into the changes that happen when individuals come together and share their presence with each other. It is from a series I did exploring this theme of how the same person would become new when connected to another.

I first sculpted each clay head and fired it, then pressed each one into a special sand mix to make a mold of the group, ladled molten glass into the mold, and let it slowly cool over a week in a kiln before grinding the bottom flat to make it stand upright.

The back is totally clear for an awesome inner view of the group. This piece looks especially good on a windowsill or in a place where the light is changing. Because it is clear glass, it refracts the light of its surroundings and always looks new from any angle.

It's about 5 inches tall by 6" wide by 2" deep. A beautiful and unique piece of figurative glass sculpture.
