A bird is perched on a curly cue plant in this handpainted encaustic painting. Made by brushing melted beeswax mixed with pigment over a board. Elements such as collage, and incised areas highlighted with oil paints are a part of many of my paintings.

This one has collage with a tea stained background all under the layers of beeswax. 4" x 4"

These little paintings are on a 1\/2 inch deep birch board and are ready to hang.
