The lore around ghost beads is that they protect you from ghosts and evil spirits. Chipmunks and squirrels actually chew one end of the seed's shell to extract food from inside. The other end of the seed is poked out by humans and the teamwork creates a wonderful bead from Nature! The texture of the pretty two-toned woody seeds is smooth, with grooves on both sides.

Cedar berry or juniper berry seeds have been used and revered for ages, in many cultures including the Navajo, Hopi and Anasazi. In India, they are sacred and used in prayer malas. Sufis have burned the berries and leaves as incense for purification.

I have strung these cedar berries on super strong beading wire, with robin's egg blue seed beads, white\/blue striped seed beads and a piece of Turquoise for good luck! The bracelet is finished with a dainty sterling silver lobster claw clasp and split ring.

Each bracelet is custom made; Please measure around your wrist and indicate size in the seller's notes :)

Even if you aren't superstitious about ghosts, you can still appreciate wearing something that comes from nature and looks so cool!
