For a Game of Thrones fan, the HODOR Door Wedge. When you just have to "Hold the Door"

The design is carved (not laser burned) into the surface of the wedge.

The timber is alpine ash (also known as Tasmanian Oak or Victorian Ash), and is 100mm x 28mm x 30mm high, and is rubber-backed. Please note that the grain pattern will be slightly different on each board, being made from a natural product.

The edges have been lightly rounded over and the top surface sanded to a silky finish.

It is finished and protected with a furniture grade, food safe oil. Please note, the darkening of the engraving is not due to the timber being burned during cutting, or by laser. When timber is carved the end grain is revealed which takes up the oil finish more readily.

Please contact me if you need to confirm what the shipping cost will be.

It depends on the model, and the material it is made out of. Many of the MDF kits do not need any glue at all, or need just a few parts to be stuck together.

Other kits (particularly complicated ones for example, such as the Voyager Spacecraft or the HD (high definition) dinosaurs) can only be assembled with glue.
I tend to favour a hot glue gun. It is simple to use, the parts are joined very quickly and easily, and are quite strong.

You can also use a wood glue, such as PVA, although assembly time will be longer.
Definitely - the models/kits made from MDF can be painted or coloured as easy as cardboard. You can use oil or acrylic paints, textas/felt pens, pencils etc etc. I have used an air brush before quite successfully too. Ideally, apply an undercoat first to help seal the surface, then paint or colour over the top.
This will be listed in the description for each product. As a general rule, I use wood oils for most wooden products (it has a wonderful aroma too), and food safe mineral oil for any product that is meant to come in contact with food (or is likely to end up in a small child's mouth!)
I have had a few enquiries about the cost of postage from people in the USA. Unfortunately in each case I don't think that they realise that OzToymaker is based in Australia, so it is an international parcel price to the USA.

There is little I can do about that - the price of postage is dictated by Australia Post. Please feel free to contact me for further details or a quote on postage if you have any concerns.
