The Coach 'Organizer Brief' was introduced in the Fall of 1995 and has been a very popular item in our shop. All of the other Organizers we have sold have been priced around $150 to $175. This is at the bargain rate of $115.00 because of its worn condition. "If you're an attorney, student, or lover of tech, this would make a great alternative and stylish bag for toting those files, books, or just a laptop!" Those of you who are trial attorneys know one case is never enough. This would make a great second case for use at trial.

I think this was Coaches first attempt to bring their beautiful old world leather bags built for holding paper into the new world of digital technology. They did this by combining their fine soft leather with nylon linings and designing pockets to carry digital supplies and laptops. This may also be the largest soft leather briefcase Coach produced. (The 1990's hard leather case Brief Bags are probably the largest. We have two hard case Brief bags listed for sale in our shop)

The Coach Fall 1995 Catalog says this about the Organizer Brief:

A. New. Organizer Brief No. 532 $488 Full-length outside open back pocket. Double gusseted pockets under front flap with double turn lock closures. Inside open front and back compartments. Center padded nylon zipper compartment accommodates a laptop computer and accessories. Inside zipper back pocket. Two pen holders. 3 diskette pockets. Card pocket. Two removable computer and accessory cushions.(not with listed bag) Fully lined interior. 41 inch adjustable shoulder strap with shoulder pad detaches. 16.5" X 11.5" X 7.5". British tan, Mahogany, Black.

Condition of Bag:

This bag is in good but distressed used condition. It is structurally sound. There are no holes, rips or tears in the body of this bag. However, the beading on two of the bottom corners has frayed. See collage photos. There was also substantial white scuffing on the outside of the bag when I acquired it. I have been able to reduce the appearance of scuffing by cleaning with Lexol and using 'Leather Milk', leather restoration products approved by most Coach rehab experts. However, faded scuff marks are still evident on the bag. Outside of the two worn bottom corners and the scuffing there is one part of the bag where a small strip of leather has peeled off. However, the interior is clean and in very good condition.

Please visit our shop and check out the other professional gear and briefcases available. We have plenty of Coach products, including some rare NYC Coach bags from the 1970's. We also have briefcases, attache's and messenger bags manufactured by Hartmann, Fossil, Hidesign, Goldpfeil, and other well known manufacturers.
