Description

This matched purse and shoe set most likely dates from the late 1950’s. The shoes and the purse don’t have any labels that indicate what was used in their construction. However, I believe that they are made of synthetic material such as plastic. The socks and the soles are made of leather.

As you can see in the photos, the shoes have been worn but are still very wearable. The purse is also in good and useable condition:

SHOES

1.The soles are scuffed, but the heels aren’t worn out. There is a small repair on the bottom of one of the shoes. It looks like the foot bed is split or broken, but is just a small tear in leather veneer.
2.The gray socks have smudges and some perspiration damage. However, they are free of cracks and tears.
3.The heel s and toes are free of cracks, tears, gauges, or scuff marks.
4.The metal buckles are free of corrosion.

PURSE

1.The purse is free of scratches, scuff marks, tears, or stains. However, the strap has yellowed over time from handling.
2.The metal clasp has tarnished.
3.There is some rust on the hinges.

The shoes do not have a standard size:

1.The length of the foot bed from the tip of the toe to the edge of the heel is 9 ½”.
2.The width of the ball of the toes on the sole is 3”.
3.The heel is 2” high.
4.The purse is 10” x 4 ½” x 2 ¾”, and the strap is 17” long.
