Description

Once again the ever prolific Franklin W. Dixon gave us another first-class adventure story. He wrote so many books, one would think that a lot of authors were using that name, wouldn't one?

Published in 1927 by Grosset and Dunlap of New York, this is a title in the Ted Scott Flying Series in which our intrepid hero takes off for Paris, France from the USA. The dust jacket has been preserved in a BroDart protector and is a bit edge rubbed with several small chipped spots on the edges. The Spine has foxing and the word "over' in the title is rubbed. It is generally browned with some evidence of slight damp damage.

The boards themselves are red cloth with black print on the spine and brown and black print on the front with an monoplane illustration. The corners, top and bottom of the spine are slightly bumped with small spots of slight moisture damage on the lower back corresponding to the spots on the dust jacket. The binding is clean and tight. The page edges (top especially), back end page and title page are foxed. There is a name and date in pen written inside the front board. The pages are slightly browned but otherwise absolutely clear. Overall, the book is in very good condition.

It is 214 pages plus ads and is 6 3/4" X7 3/4" in size.
