This Victorian or Steampunk necklace started with a 3" donut shaped element from a defunct clock. I filled in the hole with an archival photo of a Victorian lady, then secured it with resin. More resin was used to capture all the steamy watch parts around the donut hole. I riveted a beautifully engraved antique safety pinion to the piece which bears the words Elgin, Ill. The area around the photo was filled in with gold leaf mosaic before the bee and retaining ring were attached to complete the piece. To make the 18" chain, I combined a vintage anklet complete with tiny bells and some vintage-style double chain. The tiny bells make a lovely sound when the piece is worn.
