This listing is for all items pictured....neat old jewelry tidbits. I think the JEWEL among this lot of goodies might be the chain necklace with the filigree heart. It is marked AAG Co., which I think might stand for A. A. Green & Co. from the early 1900s...but not sure. Neat old necklace, however one tiny pearl is missing. Please supersize photos for more details.
Pretty much all these items have damage or missing parts. So are being sold more so for recycle.
Let's see what we found in the old cigar box this time....
1) Filigree white and gold tone click back earrings with flowers filigree and dangles. One dangle missing, otherwise look pretty good. Marked Cora.
2)Pocketshaped pin with California printed on the front with a couple pansies also painted on. Purple rhinestones surround. Working pin in back. This item doesn't look super old to me...but most other items in this box were old...so unsure of date...
3) Broken planet-like looking silvertone pin
4) Gold pin with six leaves...in fair to good condition...no mark visible..this too doesn't look as old...but no idea of age...
5) Pair of dangly drop like earrings...no mark visible...
6) A few odd (missing their partner) earrings...no makers mark...the one is sorta neat with the gold, black and white filigree dangling cone shape...could be used for recycle creation...
7) A real old ring with what looks like mother of pearl in silver or something...stamped on the inside Mexico with something else I can't read in a oval pattern? Much of the mother of pearl is missing as shown...don't know what you'd do with it for recycle....maybe its solid silver...I have no idea...and I don't want it - ;)
8) An old brass-like pin, with what looks to be could be real gold in the center...etched leaves. Lots of patina. The pin on the back is broke of...however there is a hook like thing that you could hook it onto something. I think this peice is very old...kinda neat....I find no mark.
9) Then finally the neat old filigree heart necklace as mentioned earlier. This necklace is in good condition, aside from the missing pearl...and being grimmy needing a good cleaning...Not sure how it works as the chain is looped around and through the filigree heart, which slides. Then there is the neat old clasp which has the makers mark of AAG Co. You should be able to see this well in the pictures blown up. I think this is from the early 1900s...but please do correct me...
Okay..that should do it. All items are in as found condition from the old cigar box estate sale. PLEASE do not hesitate to ask any questions and I can email more pics upon request. I'm no jewelry expert....
