Vintage 1960's amazing silk evening outfit by San Francisco Designer Gibson Bayh. The top is made of Asian Silk with a woven pattern that looks like extremely fine embroidery which is lavishly embellished with exquisite beadwork and embroidery.
Tunic style top is fully lined in the same silk shantung as the bottom, has side slits and fastens with a single covered button with loop at the neckline and a hidden side zipper.

The bottom half looks like a long skirt when standing still but when you start walking (or dancing), you can see that it's actually pants. Pants are made of an iridescent silk shantung that changes color slightly depending on how the light hits it, have a slightly dropped crotch, fasten with a back zipper and hooks & eyes at the waistband.

An amazing and very rare find, in the many years I've been selling vintage I've only ever come across one Gibson Bayh garment, this is the only one.
