This beautiful vintage wood rolling pin, from the early 1900s (perhaps earlier), is handmade of a solid piece of maple. This is a smaller rolling pin (a nice size for pastries) and shows evidence of years of use, with numerous scratches, a few shallow dents, some darker areas, and a rich patina. Although you can tell this was a turned piece, parts of it (the taper near the handle) look like they were hand carved. This would be a wonderful tool for making pies, for your collection, or for display in your country kitchen.

The rolling pin is almost 14 1/2 inches long (36.8 cm) and about 1 3/4 inches thick (4.4 cm). It weighs about a half pound.
