For your consideration is a funky, vintage collectible "Original Box Bag by Enid Collins of Texas" made in 1964. The kitschy title of the bag is "Money Tree X." The bag is a natural wood color embellished with faux brass-colored coins, a single yellow-plastic jewel positioned as the body of a bird perched on top of the painted "Money Tree." At the bottom left-hand corner of the bag it reads, "money tree X" and in the right-hand corner is Enid Collins' signature "ec" above a ©. The bag features a white plastic handle and a white leather tab that fastens with a brass turnlock closure. To help protect the wood, the bottom has two circular-brass purse feet.

Inside the wood-crafted bag, surrounding the circular mirror it reads...
Left of mirror: "The Original Box Bag by Collins of Texas" with a horse jumping over the word "Collins."
Right of mirror: "hand decorated for You! copyright 1964 enid collins"

Hand-signed by Enid Collins herself! :)

Great Vintage--especially considering age! The white-coated leather tab has discolored over time and appears distressed due to crazing. The white-coated leather strip, fastened underneath the handle, is discolored due to age as well. Crazing is common in vintage coated leather. The brassy hardware isn't polished and shows signs of age\/wear. The outside of the box itself has a few minor scratches and dings, but overall it is in very good condition. Inside the circular silver mirror is browning. All of the above mentioned can be seen in photos. Please click to enlarge.

*All flaws listed are so there are no unwanted surprises. To be fair, I list everything I see from big to small. Please do not let this deter you from purchasing! Thanks!
