Korea is a land living two lives; One is the urban, developed, machinized face, the more easily seen and less beautiful. The other is like a shy hotter sister, hidden yet far more enchantingly naturally gorgeous. It is the side which nature still holds a tenacious grip over, where mythical monsters roam and wondrous flowers bloom. There, if you search hard enough, long enough, you will find the fountain of Youth. But, more importantly, growing next to the fountain is this amazing flower. It is inscribed with ancient markings that are very similar to today's Korean tongue; some dare speculate that the plant is the origin of the language. Me? I'm just a simple travelling merchant, showing off some of my wares. So take a closer look.

If you will notice, the base of the flower ikebana is wooden*, allowing for strong yet lightweight support. Each flower is designed and folded by me, and the stems are assembled carefully from natural raffia by Tanja Sova. (tanjasova.etsy.com) It measures approximately 4.5 inches in diameter at the base and about 14 inches in height.

*Incidentally, a Bradford pear was brought down during a storm, and by making this piece (and by you buying it) the loss was not in vain, as Tanja used the slice of it to complete the ikebana.

I have listed the shipping cost for regular shipping within continental US. Should you want this beauty to arrive faster, or to any other country, please convo me for the rates.
