Mings Ivory Kukui Leaf Earring and Brooch Set (3 pieces)

Ming's, a maker of fine jewelry in Hawaii, closed its doors in the 1990’s. Ming's was known for its fine workmanship and quality jewelry. This is a 3-piece carved Ivory set consisting of a broach and a pair of screwback earrings by MINGS of Honolulu in the Kukui Leaf pattern.

The broach is approx. 1 1/2" Long. The brooch is marked "Ming's Honolulu Kukui Leaf Ivory" in ink on the back.

The earrings are approx. 1" long. The ink marks on the back of one earring are faint and the words "Ivory Kukui Leaf" can be made out. The marks on the matching earring are gone.

The kukui tree produces kukui nuts that are polished and made into Hawaiian jewelry, for example, kukui nut leis.

This is a single owner set of jewelry. It has been with one owner since it was originally purchased at Ming's in Honolulu in approx. the 1960's.
