Set of 4 heavy duty diner dishes by McNicol. These plates are Roloc or tan in color with maroon rings around the rim.

These dishes are 9" round, would be considered a luncheon plate (cheeseburger deluxe anyone?). These are actually 2 different patterns but very close with the outer rings on 2 being more cranberry than maroon.
McNicol China closed down in 1969. I don't have more specific information on this pattern. Backs are marked:
2 are marked 20 18 these are the plates with the darker/maroon bands
2 are marked R 127 these are the plates with the lighter/cranberry bands

These are heavy plates and typical of diner china (weighing a little over 6 pounds without packaging) they were made to last! No chips or cracks, they do have utensil marks from use and some stray imperfection marks from factory. Please click on photos to enlarge for detail.
