A great little 1940s cream rayon summer suit, unlined and with a lovely trapunto detail on the front in a copper colored metallic thread. Cream suits like this are very hard to come by! The short fitted jacket buttons up the front with 5 nice cream buttons, collar is a lovely shape. No shoulder pads.

Drapey little a-line skirt has a waistband and buttons up the side with two buttons in the waistband and a concealed button strip below that. Kick pleats at the front and a panelled back.

Fabric is a slightly stretchy crepe-like rayon in a cream shade. It's slightly sheer and I've shown it with a slip underneath.

Condition: very good, particularly for a cream suit. I can find nothing wrong with the skirt. The jacket is good except for a small light brown mark near one cuff, a very light mark in the trapunto on the left front of the jacket (see pic 4) and a tiny very faint pinkish mark by the top button (which may be removable). There's also a tiny pin hole low on the front caused by a pull from the stitching from the facing. All in all, though, it's remarkable for a pale suit!
