You've heard of

Something Old,
Something New,
Something Borrowed,
Something Blue,

And a Sixpence in Her Shoe

These beautiful handcrafted cards are perfect for the Tiffany lover.

Not sure how many of you have thought of your something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue traditions yet? I didn't know until I receieved my own sixpence from a girlfriend that it was also part of the tradition that follows after "something blue - and a lucky sixpence in her shoe!" This tradition struck a cord with me out of all of them because the sixpence has sentimental value and history. The sixpence once worn in your wedding is to be tucked away until it is ready to be passed down to your daughter for her wedding day. I really loved the idea alot thus it inspired me to pass on this tradition and give brides something customizeable for their very own wedding day.

Not only are they great to purchase for your own wedding day, they make a perfect and sentimental wedding shower or wedding day gifts for a very close girlfriend or family member. Why not give something away that can start a tradition for another family.

You will often see the sixpence glued to the bottom of the brides left shoe or tucked into the sole. It makes a great picture if your photographer pays attention to close details, so don't forget to mention it. This picture can serve as a memory of that day and stored away with the sixpence to show your daughter.

Each card is handcrafted on premium textured A2 colored cards adorned with lace edging, a ribboned bow in each corner, a beautifully embossed wedding day shoe with a clear rhinestone or pearl (PLEASE LEAVE A NOTE WHEN BUYING AS TO WHICH ONE YOUR PREFER), and your very own authentic sixpence straight from Europe (NOTE years of coins will vary).

On the back of each card, you will find the history in poem form of the english sixpence. The poem reads as follows.

Here’s a silver Sixpence
Made for English kings and queens
It’s said to bring good fortune
To a newlyweds’ hopes and dreams.

A tradition long forgotten
With something old, new, borrowed, and blue
The bride is meant to carry it
Tucked in her left wedding shoe

When the celebration has come and gone
And the vows have all been said
The coin becomes a keepsake
Of the day that you were wed

And when the time has come
For your daughter to say “I do”
You can share this lucky sixpence
By placing it in her shoe.

Each card and sixpence comes package nicely in a re sealable cello bag with a business card.
