This is a first edition (of only four) lino block prints depicting a swordfish swordfight at sea, in violet ink on turqoise, Japanese feathered Obonai paper, 10.5" by 15.5" (26.7 cm by 39.4 cm).

The Latin name for a swordfish Xiphias and the two swords make an 'x'. This is good to know if you ever make an alphabet quilt. Apparently in some countries they are known as 'broadbill'.
