Description

Elm leaves from a lovely shade of amber glass from a Moretti La Rossa bottle is paired with the simplicity of an elm leaf design from a disease resistant elm tree in my backyard--mixed thoroughly, and arriving at this...voila!

The pieces are cut from the side of the beer bottle, copper foiled and soldered back together with lead free (silver, copper alloy and tin), solder with a copper stem and surgical steel ear wires. A panel of expert was assembled (Nik of lillyella.etsy.com), to determine the proper dangle and other important tidbits.

A former Sno-Daze finalist from Rosemount High School back in the early 70s tried on a pair, and after a rigorous stroll through the neighbordhood--dashing to meet a young couple walking a mottled mini-wiener dog, and much ear scratching, belly rubbing and flipping of aforementioned frankfurter--commented, "I can feel the earrings, but they are totally comfortable." Upon further questioning, she said, "Yes, totally!"

If you're looking for a different type of leaf, or different style of bottle to dangle from yer own--don't be bashful about droppin' me a line to get the process percolatin'!
This is very new--The Noëlle Line (inspired by the cajoling and prodding of xenotees.etsy.com)--where nature, glass and metal dance in a different dimension--jettisoning from fourth to sixth in a single week...don't be the last person on your block to be a part of this urban trend. Order now! and don't forget that due to the handmade nature of these bierings, slight variations are to be expected and celebrated...matching cleavage danglers are sure to be barkin' at their heels!

Each leaf measures 3/4" x 1 3/8" with a 1/2" copper stem...unfortunately, if you add all the dimensions together you'll be short of a Fellini film...so you'll have to add the subtitles!

Shipping First Class Package and First-Class International Package...if you want it to go Priority, I can send you a revised invoice for the difference.

I enjoy a natural patina as metals begin to oxidize in the scheme of things...silver solder lines and copper rods for leaf stems develop a lovely patina over time. In light, the pieces will present a dark solder line (I don't apply acid to the metals unless requested) and copper stems will appear dark with natural light. At night, the ambient light from indoors will give a different view, reflecting off the various metals.

Shipping policies

USPS Priority and Priority International--sure it's more expensive, but your stuff isn't rattling around with seventy pound dumb-bell sets and concrete slabs!

Korrvu packaging cartons are uncannily cool--your glass piece is actually suspended between film in the center of the carton! For smaller sun catchers, I may use foam wrap, inside a bubble wrap mailer, inside a corrugated carton.

First Class Mail International and Parcel Post is another option if you're not in a hurry and trust the Korrvu packaging carton (they're pretty indestructible)--in most cases, shipping costs would drop dramatically from Priority and Priority International. Send me a convo with what you're looking at, and I can figure out the USPS cost before you buy.

Odds n Ends regarding International Orders...

If you desire insurance, please indicate in "Message to Seller" upon purchase and continue payment. You will receive an invoice with the remaining balance.

Additionally...

I do not refund for packages lost/unclaimed/undeliverable.
I am not responsible for taxes and duties that may incur. All international orders are marked "Merchandise" and will not be marked as "Gift" as this is illegal for my business.

Please check your customs policies to ensure safe delivery.

I especially enjoy wranglin' a raw concept from yer lumpy, side-stepped into my slightly...fer something totally different. Did someone say esoteric?
