Here are three Hummel styled figural candles. This type of figural candle became very popular after World War Two. A big producer was Gurley Novelty Company. They could be purchased for around a dollar each and were not meant to be burned. They were displayed during seasonal and special occasions.

These candles were designed to look like Hummel figurines and were made in Japan. They have a more refined appearance than the other figural candles that were available at the time.

These three kids are in pretty good condition, they are showing some defects, for example the tip of trowel in the gardening girl's hand is chipped off and there are some dings here and there. Considering they are made of wax and have been around for over 70 years they are in very good shape. A few smudges and wear and tear do not detract from their kitschy charm.
