This is a beautiful hand coloured print from Rev. Francis Orpen Morris' A History of British Moths. Morris had a reputation as a popular writer on natural history. His first great success was A History of British Birds, which was quickly followed by A Hatural History of the Nest and Eggs of British Birds, and A History of British Butterflies, followed later by A History of British Moths.
Morris became an early advocate for conservation and was instrumental in founding the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

The condition of the print is excellent. The hand colouring vibrant. The paper is cream in colour. This is a medium size print measuring approximately 6 1/2" x 10 1/4" (17cm x 26cm).

This is an ORIGINAL antique print. A copy of the title page is included in the listing.

All prints are sent Recorded (Signed For) Priority Airmail and packaged within sturdy foam boards.
