Linoleum block print of an erotic female figure in black red and tan. This is an original linocut and woodblock print with Chine-collé (collage) and image transfers.

Inspired by the work of Matisse and Picasso, and my interest in Chinese calligraphy and symbolism, I have taken this piece a bit further. First, the plate was carved and printed by hand by me, and printed on my own etching press. The Chinese symbols were then printed on a paper "plate", using a unique pigment transfer process, and run through my etching press and printed on brown craft paper. After being cut out one by one, the individual pieces of craft paper were then adhered to the linoleum block print using archival glue. The red chop mark is my own personal chop, hand stamped using traditional Chinese cinnabar paste. Each print in the limited edition of 35 is subtly different, as each plate is inked and printed individually. Great attention is given to the quality of each print, and each print is considered an original work of art.
