Welcome to Honey Island Studio!
I'm Mila, the creative brain behind Honey Island Studio, located in Santa Barbara, California. My Etsy journey began in 2021, during the pandemic.
If you are wondering about my shop's name, I decided to name my cozy haven Honey Island Studio, inspired by my love for a beautiful island in southern Brazil called Honey Island in literal translation.
Believe it or not, my background is in footwear design. I've been designing footwear for iconic brands such as UGG and others in the past couple of years.
In my art, I throw in a mix of cool stuff I'm into, like vintage fashion, music that I love, and memories from my travels. When you blend all that together, you get my unique and vibrant style.
When I'm not busy in the studio, I'm usually out hunting for treasures in antique shops and flea markets, camera in hand, snapping up memories. I love going to live concerts, and you'll catch me at them whenever I can. And, of course, what's life in SoCal without some quality beach time? It's how I keep my artistic soul nourished and find that sweet balance in life.
