Please ensure your chosen playing time matches your playlist time. Orders will not be accepted if the playlist time exceeds the purchased time.

The record length you choose at the time of purchase is the TOTAL playing time, split over both sides of the record. The playing times for each side of the record do not have to be equal*, although the total playing time of both sides cannot exceed the purchased time. As an example, a 12" (30cm) record with 38 minutes of playing time purchased could have one side with 20 minutes playing time, and the other side would have 18 minutes playing time. The total playing time of this record is 20 minutes + 18 minutes = 38 minutes).

*The maximum playing time for the longest side of your record should not exceed 28 minutes.


Music file types accepted include .WAV, .mp3 and flac. If your files cannot be sent for technical reasons, a Spotify or Youtube playlist link may be sent. You must provide a playlist link - song lists alone are no use.

Please advise on the running order of the tracks for your disc.

A 4-second silence gap is automatically inserted between songs for optimal listening flow, but you can exclude these gaps from your playlist time (i.e. you don't include 4 second gaps as part of your playlist running time). If you don't want the 4 second gap, just tell me in your order instructions.

Music instructions will be sent to you on Etsy messenger and also your email after purchase.

Order processing time is 5-7 working days after all music and instructions required for your custom record project has been received. Please ensure your order posting address is correct. Postage is tracked and will require a signature upon delivery.

Q: How long does it take to manufacture my record?

A: Order processing times are 5-7 working days. Please ensure all music files/playlist for your order is ready to send. If I have everything required, I can work on your order faster and get it dispatched in this time period (or earlier).
Etsy now monitor dispatch times and customers need to have everything ready for me to complete the order within the stated working day/dispatch time frame. This isn't my rule, but order cancellation will regrettably have to be made to ensure compliance with their system should the project exceeds their enforced time limit.

Q: What are the music file formats you accept for producing vinyl? How do I send music files to you?

A: You can send your music files in two ways:

1) Send your files via email or file transfer service. Popular file transfer services include transfernow.net, Google
Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox etc. Most popular sound file formats are fine to send.
The most common files types are WAV, FLAC, m4a and mp3. True WAV and FLAC files should be the best quality and will make a better sounding record. mp3 is used a lot in orders, and can be OK sounding at the higher bitrates (320kps).


2) If you aren't able to send your music as files (not everybody has the tech to do this) you may send a playlist link of your chosen songs from Spotify. Ideally the songs should have the same running order as the final record, and must not exceed the purchased playing time.

Q: I need multiple copies of the same record. Could you do this?

A: No. I make one-off lathe records and sleeves, and cannot deal with larger bulk orders under any circumstance. Also, from experience, multiple orders are problematic. I keep being asked about multiple copies (and discounts), but this is the policy (and my record listings are already discounted). Thank you for your understanding.

Q: I need two or more records making as one order? Could you do this?

A: No, I've had problems with mailing large orders only for them to disappear in the system. I now only deal with one record per order.


Q: How do I get the music to you?

A: After your purchase, I will email you with instructions, although this blog has information on the subject.

Q: Will you record explicit material/ swearing?

A: Yes! :)

Q: Do you print labels and sleeves?

A: There is a listing with an option to print an outer sleeve (front and rear) and a printed pair of labels which are stuck on the record centres. Q: Is the price for one side or two?

A: The price is for two sides.

Q: Is the purchased playing time per side or total time?

A: It is total playing time, half the time per side e.g 40 minutes = 20 minutes/per side. It doesn't have to be exactly half e.g. side one = 18 minutes, side two = 22 minutes (total = 22+18 = 40 minutes)

Q: What is the maximum playing time?

A: It varies depending on record size. Some listings offer a choice of playing time*.
