2. What is the Material Used in DTF Printing?
Film: The design is printed on a polyester-based film.
Ink: DTF typically uses pigment-based inks, which provide vivid and durable colors.
Adhesive Powder: A special polyamide adhesive powder is applied to the ink on the film, allowing the design to adhere permanently to the fabric during the heat transfer process.
Fabric: DTF printing can be applied to various fabric types, including cotton, polyester, blends, and even synthetic fabrics like nylon.
3. Washing Instructions for DTF Printed T-Shirts
Wait 24 Hours Before the First Wash: Allow the DTF print to fully set for 24 hours before washing the shirt for the first time.
Turn Inside Out: Turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the print from friction and wear.
Wash in Cold Water: DTF printed t-shirts should be washed in cold water. Hot water can cause the print to wear out prematurely.
Avoid Bleach and Harsh Detergents: Strong detergents and bleach can damage the print, so it's best to use mild, color-safe detergents.
Use Gentle Wash Cycle: If washing in a machine, use a gentle or delicate wash cycle to protect the print.
4. Drying Instructions for DTF Printed T-Shirts
Air Dry When Possible: Lay the shirt flat to air dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may cause the colors to fade.
Use Low Heat in Dryer: If you need to use a dryer, choose a low-heat setting. High heat can reduce the durability of the print and may cause warping.
5. Ironing Instructions for DTF Printed T-Shirts
Turn Inside Out Before Ironing: Always turn the shirt inside out before ironing to prevent the print from coming into direct contact with the iron.
Use Low Heat: Set the iron to a low heat setting to avoid damaging the print.
Avoid Direct Ironing on the Print: If you must iron over the print, place a thin cotton cloth over the design and then iron.
