Antique and vintage jewelry is old - by definition, antique jewelry is 75 years old and older, and vintage jewelry is 20 years old and older. All of our items are ready to wear unless otherwise stated, but they should be treated gently and with care. The Refined Ruffian is an e-commerce business specializing in antique jewelry. Each piece is hand-selected with an eye towards exceptional craftsmanship, condition and uniqueness. Our clients come from around the globe, ranging from art students and tech entrepreneurs to international antique dealers, television personalities, and heads of upmarket fashion labels (we've even had rock stars buy our stuff).

If you're looking for the lowest priced item, that probably won't be us, and we're okay with that. We want to give our customers the best quality items we can source. Our pieces are selected for uniqueness and quality, and are priced accordingly.

We offer interest-free layaway on most items over $50. All layaway items are FINAL SALE and the first 20% of the item price is a non-refundable down payment. Items below $100 are eligible for a 30-day layaway plan, and items over $200 are eligible for a 60-day layaway plan. Late 1800s antique Victorian gold-filled bangle bracelet featuring a beautifully textured green gold leaf motif with a central paste or seed pearl accent. The botanical design reflects the Victorian era’s fascination with nature and sentimentality in jewelry.
