Caring rules for dreads
1) Washing the head with synthetic dreads is the most important part of caring. If you do not wash your hair on time, or if you do it incorrectly, the hairstyle will quickly deteriorate. The frequency of cleansing varies depending on the skin type but you should not wash too frequently (1-2 times per week is good). One of the most important points is the right choice of shampoo. You should use mild products for deep cleaning. Sulphate-free shampoos are perfect. They gently cleanse the skin without any negative effects to artificial hair. Also pay attention to the presence of silicones: they should not be there! You should wash your hair under water at room temperature, having previously mixed the shampoo with water and foamed it. Do everything slowly and carefully. Don’t use conditioner balms.
2) Don’t use a hair dryer because your dreads will be damaged.
3) Don’t comb, because dreadlocks are a ready-made hairstyle.
4) At night I recommend you to wear a satin scarf on your head in order to avoid damage of handmade dreads and braids.
