Highlights
This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by Clare Coleman of Shell Beach, on Herm in the Channel Islands. The sky turned stormy when she was on the beach, so looked quite dramatic.
It is an original oil painting on box canvas 20x25 cm, 8x10 inches, painted and signed by me. It can be hung as it is.
I started painting seriously during lockdown in 2021. I love to paint anything which gives me a strength of feeling…from the natural world, animals, landscapes and gardens. I paint alla prima (wet on wet) mainly using Winsor and Newton water mixable oils, which are better for the environment. All my paintings are original, one of a kind artwork . Where possible I recycle frames and use recycled packaging.. I am based in Hertfordshire and spend holidays in France as well as enjoying travelling.
