This beautiful porcelain vase was handmade by Diann Adams on the potters wheel. Horsehair Raku is a process where a bisque fired piece is low fired again to about 1200-1500 degrees and taken out of the kiln while flaming hot. Horsehair is then placed on the piece and fumes into the piece. The result is marble like. The piece is then sealed with a wax. Horsehair pieces are generally not waterproof nor food safe. These works of art are show stoppers.
Other pet hair is sometimes used but results are not the same. Many people have rememberance vases or urns made from their beloved pets hair.
HORSEHAIR VESSELS CAN BE SPECIAL ORDERED WITH YOUR OWN HORSE'S HAIR. PLEASE CONVO FOR MORE INFO.

This piece is approximately 5.5"h X4.25"w.
