Can you make bespoke sizes?

Oversized - We can manufacture our shelves up to 200cm. If you are looking for a length above 140cm you can find this directly on our website - bensimpsonfurniture.com Specific length - If you want a bespoke length, you can order the closest size option online and specify your bespoke requirements by adding a note to seller when you reach the checkout. Depth & Thickness - We are restricted to the standard depths & thicknesses on our listings unfortunately.

What day will I expect my delivery?

Our lead times vary depending on the time of year. If you check individual listing for the correct up to date lead times. You will receive an email with tracking information and updates on the exact delivery day shortly after your order have been placed.

Can you offer wider shelves than 22cm?

We can offer our shelves with a depth of 30cm however they are only available in our Lipped bracket shelf variations. Our 30cm shelves are manufactured using two separate planks, rather than one solid shelf. This ensures a safer delivery & we feel this creates a shelf with more character. Both planks are securely fixed together using the brackets & fixings provided to create one solid shelf.

Do you have a showroom?

All our products are handmade to order don't have a showroom unfortunately. We do have a large 4,000 Sq Ft workshop which is able to keep up with an extremely high demand of orders. All our products are available to see on our website: www.bensimpsonfurniture.com

Can your shelves be fixed to plasterboard walls?

Floating Shelves - Unfortunately we would not advise the floating shelves to be put up on plasterboard walls. Our floating rods will not be able to fully support the shelf in plasterboard walls as the fixings do not adequately spread the load of the shelf across the wall. External Bracket Shelves - Our metal bracket shelves will be suitable for plasterboard walls as the bracket helps spread the load across the wall. You will have to source your own plasterboard rawl plugs though.

Do you offer colour samples?

The sample colour chart online is the best guide of wax finishes. We do sell sample packs they are sold as a pack of 8 colours. These are available on all of our listings.

Is this listing for one shelf or two?

The price and quantity on this listing is for one individual shelf & two brackets. We use a photo of two shelves as our main image because this allows you to see the shelf characteristics and the metal bracket detail all on the same image. If you want to order multiple shelves at the same time just select the quantity box to the number of shelves you would like.

What type of wood do you use?

Shelving & Furniture Every piece of furniture & shelving that we produce from our workshop is made from 100% sustainable Scandinavian FSC certified joinery Pine, the highest grade of pine you can buy! Pine is an extremely strong and versatile wood. It is used all over the world in construction to build houses. Being lightweight but incredibly strong makes it the perfect shelving material.

Do you use sustainable wood?

We only use wood from 100% sustainably managed FSC-certified forests, giving you the confidence you are buying a completely sustainable wooden product. We only use the highest-grade joinery pine. This allows us to manufacture a product which is consistently high quality with the knowledge that its sustainable and environmentally friendly. All our timber comes from sustainably managed forests in areas where FOUR trees are planted for every ONE felled. Forests that are used for wood harvesting only have a few trees taken from each section. This allows the forest's native Animal Habitats to continue to thrive. This patch of land won't be harvested again for 30 years.

How have I planted a tree?

All our timber comes from sustainably managed forests in areas where Four trees are planted for every one felled. We also have our own tree planting scheme. We are in association with ONE TREE PLANTED who are helping to re-wild deforested land across the world.
