What happens if my order is damaged in transit?

I package your items *really* well, especially fragile items. But sometimes a courier company makes that extra effort and does manage to destroy or damage an item. Please contact me if that happens, and I'll work with you to put it right! We've all dealt with faceless corporations that don't care about getting what you ordered safely to you, and I will never treat my customers like that.

Import fees, duties and tariffs

I'm based in the UK, so if you are too, then there are no fees and tariffs. With everywhere else, the answer is "it depends". Most countries have a "de minimis" exemption. What that means is, below a certain value, it costs more to collect the tariff than the value of the tariff. So, below the de minimis threshold, the goods go through with no import taxes or fees. I recommend that you check the de minimis amount for your country. Above this level, you will normally pay the import duty set by your country and a small handling charge levied by the delivery company. Where possible, I am adding DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) pricing and will note that in the listing if available.

Do I offer DDP (Delivery Duty Paid)?

DDP is only relevant if you are buying from outside the UK. DDP means that I pay the import duties and fees for you before your purchase ever leaves the UK. You don't then have to deal with the (minor) hassle of paying import duties yourself. While that sounds great, it is not widely available and Etsy unfortunately does not yet have an integrated way to offer DDP! I'm sure they are working on it, but in the mean time, I'm adding some listings where I've jumped through fiery hoops to "manually" offer DDP to some countries. Those listings will clearly state: "Delivery Duty Paid is available to the USA, Canada and the EU" (or wherever I've managed to add!).

What about VAT (AKA Sales Tax)?

If you are buying within the UK, the price you see is the price you pay. Etsy has a help page on this topic, I encourage you to read it. As I understand it, a summary of Etsy's policy is: For customers in the EU, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore and Switzerland. The price Etsy shows you *includes* VAT at your country's rate. Etsy collects the VAT and gives it to your government. This is subject to an upper order value, which is set by your country. For example, Australia sets a limit of 1,000 Australian Dollars. Above this limit, you need to pay the tax directly. Outside of these countries, you may or may not have to pay sales tax to your government before your purchase can clear customs. Of course, this is subject to change.

Are Etsy Estimated Delivery Days Accurate?

Sometimes, but they are sometimes a bit optimistic about international deliveries! These may take a little longer than Etsy estimates. We use Etsy's own delivery service (and they, in turn, send via the "usual" courier services, i.e. UPS, Royal Mail, Evri, etc.).

Deliveries to remote or inaccessible areas

Nearly every country has its remote or inaccessible areas, and Etsy can't always identify these ahead of time. If there is no delivery service available to your address or it's significantly more expensive than we've included, we'll contact you to discuss this. Don't worry, if it's not possible to get your order to you, you'll get a full and prompt refund.

Vintage Sterling Silver Crucifix in a modernist style. Incredible Detail. 4.5 x 2cm / 1 3/4" x . Excellent Condition. 2.4g. Available with or without a matching Sterling Silver chain. Please zoom in on the high resolution photos to see the condition as these form part of the description.

This crucifix has been ultrasonically cleaned and tumble polished and shines like new.

The crucifix is shown on a 450mm / 18" Sterling Silver 2.2mm Diamond Cut Belcher Chain, which suits it extremely well. This particular chain is 4.7g Sterling Silver. You can purchase the crucifix by itself, or with the chain. Chain is unhallmarked due to weight. I can also supply many other different lengths and types of chain, including lighter weight chains at a lower price point. Please message me to discuss. The crucifix is vintage, however I cannot source sufficient quantities of vintage chain, so the chain is brand new UK sourced sterling silver.
