Vintage Australian Studio Pottery Bud Vase - Dirch & Lise Jans - Jans Keramic - Mid Century Decor

Lovely vintage pottery vase, wheel thrown, circa 1980s. A chalky blue colour with stripes in pink and darker blue, looking almost like coloured pencil. Gloss glaze to the lower side, mat glaze above the lines. A lovely piece to hold.

Neck is wide enough to accommodate a thick-stemmed single bloom or a few long thin ones. Would look lovely with an angled branch of magnolia or cherry blossom. Heavy enough to provide weight, especially once filled.

Artist signed to the base 'Jans' and 'SA' with a studio sticker showing the last of 'Adelaide.' The artists for this piece - Dirch and Lise Jans, also known as Jans Keramic in Denmark where they spend some of their time. This piece is iconic to their Scandi modernist style.

Approx. 8cm high, 10cm wide. A wonderful addition to any collection of modern Australian pottery.
