I caved in recently and got myself some more of Denyse Schmidt's beautiful Hope Valley fabrics. It's a great combination of gray, steel blue, cream, navy and aqua & I just love it!

For the body of the bag I used a floral with a gray background and floating flowers & spots. I used a sturdy darker gray fabric for the base of the bag and the lining. The sides tie with another fun print with dots & diamonds in navy, green, cream, gray and aqua. The interior of the bag features divided slip pockets on both sides in a woven natural cotton with trimmed edges to match the handles. There are 5 pockets total.

This tote has a layer of fleece on the inside to give it a nice stability and keep it lightweight at the same time. I quilted the outside of the bag in a large rectangular pattern.

Measures 12.5" wide across the top edge, when tied, tapering down to a roomy 12.25" wide x 4.5" boxed base. Sits 10.5" tall. There are two comfy 25" handles, each consisting of 4 layers of fabric and a layer of fleece.

This bag is one of a kind and cannot be made again using this fabric. Gently hand wash and air dry. Hot iron as needed.
