Pentax H3 35mm SLR Camera w/ 55mm f/1.8 Lens & Honeywell Meter

You are considering the Pentax Honeywell H3 35 mm SLR camera with a hard-to-find Honeywell Pentax Meter, both in fantastic, most definitely collectible condition. The camera appears to work just fine. I de-greased and re-lubricated what I could (under the bottom plate. Most of it is reachable). The shutter speeds sound great to me but the shutter does stick on occasion. The exposure is completed so you won't loose the frame. Simply advance the film as you normally would and all is well. The Asahi Pentax M42 Mount, 55mm f/1.8 Auto-Takumar AOC Fast Standard Prime Lens seen in the picture is also in great shape. Not pristine but certainly a great shooter.

Features of this desirable, manual focus SLR camera include shutter speeds ranging from 1 second to 1/1000 plus B, a PC connector for use in the studio, a DOF (Depth Of Field) lever, a Prism-top Exposure Meter (I can't say for certain that meter works as I don't have a 625 to test with. I'll be sure to update this listing if/when I find a 625), rugged all-metal construction (not found in many modern cameras) and more.

Regarding the lens, the glass is clean and clear with minimal internal dust specks, the aperture blades are dry and snappy, the Aperture ring clicks positively, the focus action is silky-smooth without binding or tight spots and the barrel is quite nice. Absolutely no dents or dings. I do see some minor paint rubs on some edges, mostly on the aperture and focusing rings, exactly where you'd expect to see them. Very nice indeed.

This is a great first camera for your budding photography student to learn with. And it is so nice, it will also make a fine addition to your collection. It has been in mine for years but I am running out of room (I have perhaps 125 different cameras! YIKES!) so it has to go to a new home where it will be appreciated for what it is; a fine imaging machine. I'm asking $144 for this very capable camera and fast lens. FREE shipping too.

FYI: this camera can do everything the K1000 can but does it is a much more refined way. But it is the lens that will produce. And produce it does! You won't find a sharper lens at twice the price!

And let's not forget about your ILC Interchangeable Lens Mirrorless Camera. With the correct lens mount adapter, you can use this lens on just about any ILC Mirrorless camera. Being able to mount the lens with an adapter does not guarantee 100% compatibility with your camera. Communication errors (both mechanical and electrical) are possible. B&H has a ton of these adapters starting around $20. Get a few of these and then the sky's the limit. You'll have hundreds of new lens options! I will include both caps and/or a UV filter if I have them.
