This is a beautiful solid sterling silver art medal. The front depicts a woman fleeing the horrors of war with her two small children toward the Swiss Cross. To either side are the words "Vers l'exil hospitalite suisse," or "into exile swiss hospitality."

The reverse depicts the King Albert I of belgium, beloved war hero and devout Catholic who served tirelessly to love the other and fight for his people. Around him are the words "au vaillant roi des belges et a son peuple," or "the valiant king of Belgium and its people."

Measures 1 1/16 inches (27mm) diameter.
