This is a solid wood frame. My particular piece didn’t have the 45 degree corners come together without a seam in two corners despite my attempts to make them do so. Was initially not clear on what to do with the black elastic band attached to the wooden frame… figured it out quickly however. The wooden frame does not hide the edges of the black frame tv completely. I would have thought from the photos it went right to the edge all the way around which is sort of the point. In hindsight I should have paid a little more for a better product so that’s on me.

The frame came with two defects that I’m aware of. One of the corners only had 1 hole on it instead of 2, so less security. And while installing one of the holes completely cracked under almost no pressure at all. While I was putting it on the tv, it sounded like it wanted to break/crack. Very flimsy, BUT with that being said it looks incredible and at $200 less than the original, I’d say it’s worth it. I just wish I didn’t have those problems, otherwise I’d give this a 5/5.
