My order is placed, what is the process from here?

1. Shipping instructions are sent automatically to your Etsy account email address in the order confirmation email. 2. Follow packing video and ship via overnight mail. 3. Send tracking information to Wild Coast via message. 4. Wild Coast sends photos of the flowers on arrival. 5. Flowers dry 10 - 13 weeks. 6. Wild Coast sends designs to customer for approval. Customer must approve or revise within 2-weeks. If no response after 2-weeks, we move forward with resin. 7. Resin Casting - 3 weeks. 8. Buffing/Sanding - 2 weeks. 9. Cleaning, Painting, Photos & Shipping - 1 week 10. Return shipping tracking information is sent with final photos. The total preservation process takes 3 to 5 months.

Will my flowers change or lose color during preservation?

Your flowers will go through an extensive drying process that will cause them to change, and in some cases lose color. This is a very natural occurrence as the flower’s quality and texture will change in the drying process. Flowers become more brittle and the hue tends to fade. Orange flowers may turn yellow or white flowers can become off white or yellowed. White calla lilies and lisianthus flowers will turn yellow. In resin, some flowers like hydrangea, peonies, orchids, lilies, anthurium and roses will show translucent spots once placed in resin. We offer “Color Correction” service to enhance vibrancy and “Bouquet Replication” service to replace damaged flowers.

Will my preservation have bubbles?

All resin items will have some degree of bubble formation due to a chemical reaction that occurs when resin cures over 24- 48 hours. We do our very best to mitigate with balanced humidity and temperature levels, heat tools, and monitoring. It is important to recognize that bubble formation is a common phenomenon inherent to resin casting, experienced by artists across the board. Therefore, we kindly request your understanding that the presence of bubbles does not qualify for a refund, and Wild Coast Resin Art is not responsible for any changes or damages that may occur to the flowers during the preservation process.

The short answer: it can, but we work hard to minimize it. We collaborate with a chemist on our UV-resistant formula, and most pieces, even 3+ years old, still look beautiful. That said, flowers are natural materials, so gradual color changes can occur over time, even with our high-quality formula. It's one of the honest realities of preservation work, and we'd rather tell you that upfront than overpromise. Things that can speed up yellowing: temperature fluctuations, prolonged sunlight or window placement, and storing pieces in a box long-term. Every order includes care instructions. Our Color Correction service also adds an extra layer of protection.

My flowers are air-dried, can you still work with them?

If your flowers are Air Dried (hung upside down or air-dried at home), you may order at any time; however, items must be Whole Flower items from the Bouquet Blocks section. We cannot make trays or coasters with air dried or non-pressed flowers. If you have started air drying your flowers but want an item that is made of pressed flowers, let's talk. There may be hope if the flowers are still soft to the touch. The solution will require you to press your flowers at home, air dry them until fully dried, then ship.

Can I put preservation items on my wedding registry?

It is best to put a Gift Card link (from our website) to Wild Coast Flower Preservation on your registry. This allows the bride to collect the funds needed to place a custom order. We will honor the ANY wedding date with the use of gift cards. Simply reach out and provide your wedding date, plus each gift card number with amount, and we will combine the credits into one code for use at checkout. If you are using Etsy registry, instruct the buyer to reach out and alert us that the purchase was made for a registry with name of the bride. We will cancel orders within 60 days if flowers do not arrive for the order but if we know it's a registry order, we will not cancel. Etsy does not tell us the order is from a registry!

• No refunds on cancellations made after the flowers have been cast in resin
• $50 date deposits are non-refundable
