1948 gorgeous Irish Penny necklace makes a wonderful birthday gift for someone turning 66.
The necklace showing the 16 string Irish harp modelled on the 'Brian Boru' harp in Trinity College Dublin,with the year(1948) on the right side and eire on the left of the harp.
On the reverse side is the Penny/Hen and Chickens/Pingin designed by the English artist Percy Metcalf.
The penny was first struck in 1928 and was last struck in 1968.
