Exactly like our gold-plated ones--29x23mm,10x8mm setting--except that these weren't plated and have what may be rust or, more probably, a deliberate reddish patinated area in and around the setting. Probably made in Rhode Island or Massachusetts sometime in the 1970s.

They are new vintage, meaning they've never been used, but they definitely have an aged appearance. I assume the brass border and back and interior could be polished (and it might be interesting with the unpolished middle) but the real appeal of these is definitely their obvious age. Good for steampunk stuff, or just as a locket, or in something where you want to emphasize age and its effects. This listing is for one (1) locket.

If you want a cameo or cab for the setting, see the gold plated locket listing where there are links to s few.

If you want a chain, look around: some of a similar age are listed in The Basic Makings and/or New Vintage sections.

One of the pics shows these with the not-so-funky brass lockets with larger setting, listed elsewhere at Findings.
